Why make a wax kit specifically for black vehicles?
A black finish makes your car look sleek and stylish, but it is also the most difficult vehicle color to maintain. What comes in the Black Box kit?
The kit consists of a black pigmented pre-wax cleaner and conditioner, a black pigmented carnauba car wax, a black detailer, and two round applicators for easy application.
What does each component in the Black Box kit do?
Black Pre-Wax Cleaner and Conditioner(Step 1):The black pigmented liquid pre-wax cleaner is designed to remove light swirl marks and micro-scratches. The rich black formulation helps restore reflective properties to surface paint as it deep cleans and increases finish jetness. In addition, this polishing compound based product will fill in stone chips and deep scratches to help create a uniform color. Deep Black Carnauba Wax (Step 2): The black pigmented liquid carnauba car wax is designed to deposit a hydrophobic layer of protection, long lasting high gloss shine, U.V. inhibitors, and high refractive index polymers to maximize paint reflectivity. The black pigments help produce a uniform look to the exterior paint after application and as with Step 1, help seal and mask finish blemishes. Black Spray Detailer: The black spray detailer was designed to be used in conjunction with Steps 1 and 2, as part of the two step process. The detailer helps with removal of each product and adds additional shine with each step. This product can be used separately as a final detail to boost shine or protection in between regular washing.
Will the product stain my skin?
Each product in the kit contains unique black pigments that will not permanently stain skin or textiles. If you have sensitive skin, it is suggested to use gloves during application and removal.
How long does it take?
If using hand application, the Black Box System asks that you devote 2-3 hours to the detailing process. However, machine polishing will reduce detailing time requirements. The Black Box System will also produce professional results with machine application, using foam polishing pads at 1500 RPMs
Will the Black Box System leave white residue on my vehicle?
Most conventional polishing, rubbing and pre-wax cleaner products leave white polishing agent residues around trim, or on plastics that require additional steps to remove. The new Black Pre-Wax Cleaner and Conditioner (Step 1), self-adjusts on all clear coat finishes to remove surface micro scratches, swirl marks and blemishes. It is tinted black to fill in minor imperfections and creates a foundation shine without leaving white residue.
How do I use Black Box?
1. Wash and thoroughly dry car. Car finish should be cool to the touch. Do not apply in direct sunlight. 2. Use gloves if hands are sensitive to car wax and/or black pigments 3. Working on one section at a time, apply Step 1, the Pre-Wax Cleaner and Conditioner to applicator. Use back and forth motion to deep clean finish. Let dry to haze. 4. Lightly mist Black Spray Detailer onto a folded micro fiber towel or onto surface and remove polish. Use the same applicator and micro fiber towel until entire vehicle has been prepared with Step 1. (Use only one micro fiber towel in this procedure.) 5. Apply Step 2, the Deep Black Carnauba Wax to other applicator and apply to one section of the vehicle at a time. Let dry to a haze. 6. Lightly mist Black Spray Detailer onto a fresh, folded micro fiber towel, or onto waxed surface and lightly buff to a high gloss shine, turning cloth frequently. (Use only one micro fiber towel in this step.) 7. Use a third micro fiber towel for a final wipe of each section or use spray detailer with micro fiber towel to enhance finish (Optional). 8. Wash hands thoroughly after use.
